We only get one chance at educating our children. In too many instances we see poor results, and high drop out rates. These results are unacceptable to me and they should be unacceptable to you as well. For not only are we doing a disservice to our children, but we are doing a disservice to our economy and our country.
In today’s global economy, knowledge is king. We need a system where bad schools go out of business and good schools thrive. Accordingly I support a voucher system in which parents can take their children to any school that meets their unique needs and skills. By abandoning the failed one method for everyone model we will see a vibrant educational system that will truly meet the unique need of our children, and the diverse needs of our economy.
